You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.  – Jeremiah 29:13

Have you ever played “I Spy”  the children’s game?

In this game, one player selects an object by color, and the opponent has to locate the colored object the other has spied.  During the course of the game, both players take a keen look at their surroundings, and identify objects of this color that they had previously overlooked.   It’s only when they “seek” the color selected, that they begin to notice and see that which was there all along.  The same is true of the Cross.  This visual reminder of our Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounds us every day.  It can be seen in nature, in architecture,  and in many other unexpected places.  Seeking the Cross, the symbol of our salvation, is a simple and easy way to remind ourselves of Jesus’ presence in our everyday lives.

As we head into 2018, what are you looking for?  A slimmer waistline?  A bigger bank account?  More free time?  Whatever is on your 2018 bucket list,  I encourage you to include time to look for the Cross.  The Cross is always there, and God’s saving grace is always available to you.  You just have to keep your eyes open and look for it.

I pray you find all that you seek in the coming year.

My Best,
